Affintas Academy
Founded in 1910 by Gregory Affintas, Affintas Academy is the name of a great stone building surrounded by tall, marvelous steel gates that is the host of 300 students of the world ranging from the ages of 11 to 18. It is located in Canada (no one knows exactly where, cause it is not in any city or near any cities) and is one of the top international boarding schools in the world.
The reason why this is so is because of Affintas's wide ranging academic studies and advanced career training for high school students. Students who go to Affintas must pass a series of tests in order to get in and must maintain at least a 75 yearly average in order to stay in. Exam grades from Affintas have been very high and the school has been awarded hundreds of awards.
That was before. To be exact, that was before the closure of Affintas for 30 years after the great chemistry explosion occurred, killing several students. And that was just the beginning of the corruption, rats had been roaming in many numbers, bacteria flooded to hall, disease was passed on and on to students. Everything was so bad that in 1960, Gregory had to close the school and for 30 years, it sat there in Canada.
Gregory died in 1965, but 41 years later, Jason Affintas, Gregory's grandson, heard of his grandfather great school and decided to open it, but there would be some changes. A test would not be given, but the school would be open to all. More classes were added, the staff was replenished and to move on to the next grade, at least a 70 yearly average would have to be maintained. And with a few months, 300 applications were sent in. And in August 2006, the first 300 students in 46 years entered the nearly replenished school.
And so that is the story behind it all. Even though 21-year-old Jason Affintas struggles to maintain the school, the school still lives on. Are your ready to enter this great school?
