Stopping by for sweets (Ron)

[Hermione Granger]

After a long day of of studying in the library Hermione decided to go and fill up her stash of sweets. She packed up her things and went to her dormitory to get changed she dropped her bags on her bed and went to he trunk to get her new clothes out. It was a bit hot so she decided on a baby blue summer dress and sandals Hermione didn't wear dresses that much. But over the summer her and her mother went shopping and her mom told her to get the dress and take it with her so she did. Last summer had been a traumatic one she was wearing dresses alittle and she now straited her hair at least as much as could.

It seemed as she got older it got tamer which Hermione didn't mind she was tired of her hair after getting ready she went down to the grounds. After getting permission from filch as went into hogsmeade it wasn't that crowded she looked at many of the windows but nothing caught her eye. But somethings did when she went into the sweet shop she picked of Bernie's box of every flavored beans and some sugar quills. After ringing up and paying she turned around to see Ron "Hey Ron" she said holding her bag of things.

]Ron stuffed his face with Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans as he closed the box-like carton and whipped around after hearing his name being called by someone. Seeing it was Hermione his heart beat fast as he gave a smile so wide that the beans poured out of his mouth,most stuck inbetween his teeth. "Srhiya Brhermione!". Ron said through mouthfulls of beans as he swallowed and picked at two beans which were stuck between his teeth.


"What brings you here?..and ...why in the bloody hell are you..wearing a dress..you never wear a dress...". Ron said staring at her up and down and leaned in whispering in her ear,"Hermione..have you gone mental?". He said before looking back and then staring at Hermione once more.

Hermione looked at Ron and her smile when from up to down and looked at him and rolled her eyes and said "Ronald please eat your food before talking to anybody." Hermione was quite used to his and Harry's ways she just looked side ways and Ron whispered in her ear and what he said made her angry she thought about walking out but she decided to stay. "Because Ronald if you haven't realized it I am a girl" she said looking at him and waiting for his next remark.

Ron frowned slightly as she made her remark and rubbed the back of his head before picking at his teeth. Smiling to make sure it was out he ran his tongue over his teeth and nodded, no more beans. Placing the Bertie Botts carton in his pockets he looked at Hermione. "A girl?..is that what you are? because the way you act..I'd assume you were a.....a...woman or somethin'". Ron said as he looked at his shoes and exhaled deeply. "Shes a very beautiful girl at tha'". He thought, he knew that if they kept arguing she might walk away or it might end up in a duel.

Hermione was at this point angry because of what he said and then she was about to walk away. She was already at the door and she had her hand on the handle when she heard something he had said. "A woman you think I act like a woman" she said shocked she had never thought he would think like that or say something of that sort. People were coming in and out of the shop but she was talking to Ron and didn't notice that much.

"Of course..almost everyone thinks that....you act older than your age..". Ron said rather loudly, his raised voice made some people turn around to face the two. Ron leaned against a counter and looked into Hermiones eyes, she was getting angry he could tell by her facial expressions and body language. "All Im sayin' is you needed to loosen up sometimes". He said coldly looking around and trying to avoid eye contact with Hermione.

"Oh I didn't know that everybody thought that and I am and when I do you as me am I mental" she said Ron was close. Hermione never realized how beautiful Ron's eyes where she blushed alittle feeling alittle warm but nobody could tell. The fact was that Hermione wanted to be like a girl but not stupid she was going to take little steps. "So" Hermione said looking at Ron he was leaning really close she could smell him he smelt good. Hermione realized all the years she knew Ron she had never thought like this what is wrong with me she said in her head smiling on the outside.

Ron stood there and scoffed before placing his hands in his hair and exhaling deeply. He looked into Hermiones eyes, the big beautiful brown eyes that he enjoyed looking into. "So...erm.....wanna head back to the Castle?". He asked nodding towards the door as he leaned forward and walked out of the aisle. He could smell Hermione,the perfume she was wearing smelled good. She actually looked good in a dress,although Ron did'nt want to tell her. "Just tell her..you git...tell her you love her". He thought as he jammed his fists in his pockets and walked towards the door.

Hermione sat there for a moment and smiled and watched he seemed so frustrated when he walked away "Yea sure whats wrong Ron you seem frustrated of some sort" she said walking beside him. She didn't know if he would tell her is something was wrong most of the time he would say nothing or never mind.

"Im not frustated,what makes you think I'm frustrated?". Ron said quickly as he looked back at Hermione with his eyebrows raised. Walking out of the shop he exhaled again,"Actually Hermione,theres something I've got to tell you..but I'd rather tell you at school". He said slowly looking back at her once more and jammed his fists in his pockets.

"Just the way you are acting and looking and I know how you are" she said looking at him. "Okay let's go maybe you will feel better when you let it out" Hermione said taking Ron's hand pulling him out of the store and pulling him toward the school.
